Virginia Nsitem

board thumb virginiaDr. Virginia Nsitem operates a multidisciplinary clinic in Mississauga, and has been serving the Peel region since 1997. She graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and was awarded the Doctor Harold Beasley Jurisprudence Award and the Herbert K. Lee Award. She has been a Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences since 2004. She has acted as the team chiropractor for various sports clubs in the GTA, and is currently the team chiropractor for a basketball athletic club in Mississauga. In addition, she has been a volunteer for the Canadian Chiropractic Examining Board for many years, and is currently a member of the Acceptable Competency Level Committee since 2013. She is also an educator, who enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise with the public. She was the health specialist contributor for Pride News Magazine, a community newspaper, for over 15 years, and currently contributes monthly health articles for The Caribbean Camera newspaper. She is the proud recipient of the African Canadian Achievement of Excellence in Medicine Award, presented to her in 2013. Virginia holds a Bachelor of Science, Honors Biochemistry, from the University of Ottawa, and a Master of Education, Health Professional, from the University of Toronto. She obtained Certification in Evaluation of Disability and Impairment Rating with the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Physicians in 2010, and is a Certified Independent Chiropractic Examiner with the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. Virginia and her husband are the proud parents of three young ladies. She spends her time baking, reading, traveling, and volunteering for a variety of Oakville elementary and secondary school council initiatives.
