Partners and Stakeholders

The FOUNDATION looks to partner with other organizations with similar interests in advancing the knowledge base of Chiropractic in general, and Sports Chiropractic in particular.

To this end, we entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Chiropractic Research Foundation (CCRF) early in 2022. The CCRF’s longstanding commitment to supporting Chiropractic Research combined with an extensive network of supporters made them a natural fit for The FOUNDATION. In return, our understanding of the sports field of Chiropractic research/researchers, coupled with the general public’s trust in results from the athletic world, made it desirable for them to combine efforts with The FOUNDATION.

The results of the agreement between these two research foundations culminated in the first ever Sport-themed Request for Proposal (RFP) in the Fall of 2022, with up to $125,000 available for researchers to apply for!

Moving forward, both organizations look to build on this work and advance the knowledge base for Chiropractic in Canada, and globally!

In 2020-2021, Tempur-Sealy had agreed to fund a sleep study, “Investigating the sleep habits, behaviours, prevalence of sleep disturbance and sleep environment preferences of athletes presenting to a national practice-based research network of Canadian chiropractors working in sport”.

For 2023, Tempur-Sealy has sought to continue working with The FOUNDATION in having a Chiropractor Council for Sealy featured on their social media channels, to get out the message about sleep awareness, proper alignment tips, and sleep tips to the Canadian public.

It is through collaborations such as these that The FOUNDATION works to build awareness of Chiropractic in general, and Sports Chiropractic in particular. We are interested in working with other like-minded organizations to pool our resources, and maximize our impact. If your organization would like to collaborate on a project, please reach out to us here: (frccssc@gmail.com).

We at The FOUNDATION also work with our National level partners to keep our ear to the ground and identify areas that additional research may be of benefit. Such organizations include:

  • The Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada)
  • The Canadian Chiropractic Association
