board thumb susanDr. Gillis graduated from the University of Western Ontario on the Dean’s Honour List and from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College cum laude, receiving honours such as the Jurisprudence award.

She has been active in post-graduate education completing a fellowship in Acupuncture with the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture. Dr. Gillis worked as an occupational consultant for several companies and has attended many post-graduate courses and seminars, keeping up to date on the latest techniques as well as research and development.

Susan has been trained and lectured at the post graduate level in Aquatherapy and has also been trained and obtained certification status in Neuroemotional Technique (NET) and Neuroemotional Anti-Sabotage Technique (NEAT) which deals with the emotional aspect of our health and how stress can play a role. She has presented a research poster in Europe on NET and co-authored with other board members the History of Sports Chiropractic prior to 1994. She was nominated for the Toronto Life magazine “Women Who Make a Difference” award for her community involvement locally and internationally.

She is a member-at-large on the FOUNDATION board. Susan is also a Director of MaxAbilitation Inc. and on two other charitable organization boards as well as a mortgage investment corporation board. Her objective is to help people to achieve their maximum potential and be truly healthy in body, mind and spirit.

Dr. Gillis has a special interest in balancing professional and family life and encouraging a holistic perspective to health and wellness. She is married to Dr. Gordon Lawson (nearly a full time job in itself 😊) and they have three wonderful children.
