Where do donations go?
There are three areas where donations made to the Foundation for the RCCSS(C) are used.
Each helps promote Sports Chiropractic research with effects noted across Canada.
The General Fund
Donations made to this fund go towards the Foundation Awards and the operation of the Foundation itself.
All Board members are volunteers and no stipend is paid for time spent on Foundation business.
The Wendy Porter Memorial Research Grant
All donations are put towards the endowment of this fund, created specifically to promote the work of early career researchers.
The Annual Poster Award Competition
Funds collected are dedicated to the awards for the researchers who win the Annual Poster Competition, held in conjunction with the Annual Sports Conference hosted by the RCCSS(C) in Toronto.
Donations are typically processed through CanadaHelps, and a charitable tax receipt is issued by them directly to the donor. Donations may be one-time only or monthly.
