The Sports and Exercise Research Collaborative for Health Practice-based Research Network (SERCH-PBRN)
The Sports and Exercise Research Collaborative for Health Practice-based Research Network (SERCH-PBRN) is a national network of chiropractors and allied health professionals working in sport. It is comprised of 20+ clinics and 54+ healthcare practitioners across 9 provinces in Canada.
Mission:
To support, conduct and translate practice-based research to improve the health outcomes and enhance the health systems of the patients we serve in sports, exercise and health.
Vision:
A multi-disciplinary research collaborative to improve the health of all people engaged in sports and exercise.
The clinical practices of the SERCH-PBRN are primarily led by fellows of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences (Canada) [RCCSS(C)], and are overwhelmingly multidisciplinary clinical practices that include chiropractors, physiotherapists, athletic therapists, massage therapists, sports medicine physicians, and orthopedic surgeons.
Most SERCH-PBRN practitioners work with sports teams, providing care to athletes within their practice and onsite at sporting events.
